He was, quite simply – A Great Man.
One of the most talented people I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with…just by being associated with Haskell it helped my career enormously. I had the pleasure of working with Haskell, Connie Hall and Jonathan Haze at the very beginning of Wexler/Hall back in the 70’s.
Rest in Peace my friend.
Just out of film school, pounding the pavement, getting nowhere. Haskell offered encouragement and dignity to me – a nobody. I never forgot that kindness and generosity – it was a watershed moment in my life. I know there are similar untold stories – a testament to an artisan and a human being who gave so much to so many.
